Jiajie Yang is a master of Global Affairs Candidate from the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at University of Toronto. Born and raised in China, she went to the US at the age of 14 and lived there for 8 years. Jiajie completed her undergraduate degree in global communication from University of Washington. As an international student studying in different foreign countries and experiencing with diverse cultures, Jiajie is passionate about promoting social development and innovation of emerging civil society through cultural and intellectual exchanges. Her primary research interest includes poverty and human rights; global health and educational development. Jiajie is pleased to join Youth Lead as a summer intern, and to work together with the team on this significant global issue.
